Choosing a Birth Location

Choosing where you will have your baby is an important part of preparing for a natural childbirth. Most people choose to give birth in hospitals, birth centers, or at home. Each location varies in how supportive it is of natural childbirth, and there are advantages and disadvantages of each location. It may be helpful to create a list of pros and cons of each location when choosing your birth location.

If you are planning to have your baby in a hospital or birth center, the closest birth facility to your home is not always the best. This is especially true if you live on the outskirts of Houston. In order to receive the very best care for your birth, expect to drive.
